Our Company:

History

CRC Scrap Metal Recycling, LLC. began as any small company might: by identifying the needs of the surrounding community. Although we are approaching our 2 year anniversary we have drawn upon 65 years of scrap recycling and auto salvage business experiences. Being locally owned and operated has allowed CRC to give much more care and attention to every customer’s metal recycling needs. Ownership is shared by three The company started out small with only 6 employees and has now grown up to 20. Nonferrous material was purchased outside in open air for the first 16 months of operation. Material at this time was not bailed simply placed in Gaylord boxes. At present CRC has moved into a new non-ferrous recycling warehouse. Customers no longer have to brave the heat, cold, or dust to sale their copper, aluminum, brass, or stainless steel. This state of the art “drive-thru” recycling facility utilizes several different technologies to handle materials and customers quickly and efficiently. These technologies include: a scrap recycling specific software, driver’s license scanners, signature pads, large bailers, touch screens, state of the art computers and most recently ATM machines. All of these technologies are utilized with one goal in mind: to pay our customer top dollar for their metals faster than any other facility around. Initially ferrous material was unloaded onto the ground by the customer themselves. There was no concrete, simply a car crusher and a large scrap pile. Today ferrous material is no longer placed directly onto dirt. It is now organized and unloaded into concrete bins. Cars are also crushed and organized on concrete surfaces. We estimate that about ¼ of the yard is now concrete, and hope to have more than ½ of the yard concreted in 5 to 7 years. The most recent addition to our ferrous operation is the installation of an oil water separator. All of our concrete bins, crushing pads, and storage pads are piped directly to the separator. The oils are removed from the water collected and pumped by a third party recycling service. The water that is released is 99% clean. It is easy to see that CRC Scrap Metal Recycling, LLC is evolving from a “junk or scrap yard” into a professional recycling facility which focuses on taking care of every customer.
